The prevailing model is that of an inspiring person/place/thing being one’s final destination. There are many setbacks to this:
- gridlocked on a specific path
- focus on the end rather than the journey
- this does not work for me (as a scatter brained person)
Alternate model: Said inspiring/place/person is a motivation vector that is added to the long list of previous vectors. Observations of this model:
- There is no such thing as a destination, only the trajectory of your current journey forecasted with a “cone of uncertainty (from hurricane forecasts)”
- Individual vectors have minute impacts on the final destination, but a group of vectors aligned and focused can nudge the trajectory towards a certain area of study
